Wolf Man is Ame and Yuki's late father and the husband of Hana, who became a widow after his death. He has the ability to transform into a wolf; this ability was genetically passed to his children.
He was sent to live with relatives after being orphaned as a child. He was apparently the last of his kind. They didn't get along, prompting him to live on his own as a teenager.
He worked as a furniture mover and delivery man. In his free time, he sat in on lectures and took notes at the college Hana attended, though he was not registered as a student.
The cause of his death is unknown. But it might be that he fell down in a canal whilst preying for a bird. He appears to Hana one final time near the movie's end, encouraging her to trust their children to find their own paths in life.
Personality[]
Little is known about Wolf Man. He seemed to be a calm but nice man who was shown to have a strong paternal instinct, probably due to his wolf instinct. Like any other wolf or wild animal, he preyed for food, for the survival of his mate and offspring.
Appearance[]
Human form[]
In his human form, Wolf Man appeared to be a tall man with a slim build. He had short black hair with a bang and blue eyes. He also had a small stubble on his chin and above his upper lip.
Wolf form[]
In his wolf form, Wolf Man appeared to be an adult wolf with dark blue, grey and white fur. The fur on his head resembled his hairstyle as a human. He had blue eyes. He also has the ability to transform certain parts of his body into wolf parts (e.g. hands to paws), instead of completely transforming into a wolf.
Clothing[]
As a human, Wolf Man usually wore a white shirt with a stretched out collar, dark blue sweatpants, and sandals. Outside, he wore a black winter coat with a white fur collar, with his white shirt underneath.
As a wolf, he didn't wear any clothing, except when he turned into a wolf for the first time in front of Hana, where he kept his winter coat and shirt on whilst transforming.
Trivia[]
