Hana (Japanese: 花, Rōmaji: Hana (lit. "flower, blossom") ) is Ame and Yuki's mother and was Wolf Man's lover. Despite never seen to be married in the film or book, she became a widow after his death.

Hana started living alone in the city while continuing her university study and working part time after Hana's father died though it wasn't mentioned when.

When she was a university student, she was frequenting the same university as Wolf Man, which is where they had met for the first time.

At the time, she was working part-time at "Hokushin Dry Cleaners". After moving to the countryside to raise her children, Ame and Yuki, she got a job as a nature conservationist.

Personality

Hana is a very optimistic and up-beat young woman who has gone through her fair share of hardships. She is shown to be incredibly brave and has strong determination as shown when she accepted Wolf Man's wolf form when some humans would freaked out and ran, along with her searching for her son, Ame, during a heavy storm. She is shown ,m lnk to be very persevering and selfless, always putting her children's rights before hers. She rarely raises her voice towards her kids throughout the film. She loves her children and does what she can to help provide for them.

Appearance

Hana is a woman with chin-length black hair and brown eyes.

Clothing

While Hana's clothes often change throughout the film, she usually sports a shirt or a blouse with a pair of jeans. Occasionally, she wears a hoodie.

When gardening, she wears a sun cap and rubber boots.

During winter, she wears a navy blue winter coat with a pink cashmere scarf and winter boots.

At the end of the movie, she wears a yellow raincoat with rain shoes.
